IMPORTANT UPDATE TO UK/EU/NI SELLERS OR BUYERS OF ANY KIND

The latest update for UK/EU/NI sellers or buyers in the leather goods industry. Recent changes may affect you.

Due to recent GPSR changes taken place on 13/12/2024, many independant, small business or sole traders will no longer be able to sell items to Northern Ireland or the EU.

The new General Product Safety Regulation requires all businesses to have a registered 'EU Responsible Person' to deal with manufacture, safety, use, compliance and transparency information and paperwork of products. Having to hire a EU agent will obviously come at a cost of time and money that many smaller sellers can't afford.

Obviously this will affect myself, my future plans for Wilde's Leatherwork, other independent leather workers who I feel for and wish all the best, and many other businesses. This may also affect yourself in other areas as some businesses who CAN afford to hire a EU agent will more than likely increase prices of products to compensate.

So, until more info or guidance comes out, or until I have a greater understanding of the situation, I will no longer offer shipping to Northern Ireland. I will only offer shipping to England, Scotland and Wales.
