Hi, I’m Geoff from Wilde's Leatherwork.

I make premium quality handmade leather goods, right here in my hometown of Blackburn, Lancashire.

After constantly being let down by leather goods sellers in the past, I took it upon myself to learn the art of the craft.

I've spent the past few years honing my skill and perfecting the art of leatherwork.

After the more recent passing of my Grandad, I was passed down his leather belt, which had seen over 30 years of use.

This amazingly durable material paired with my Grandads value of honest hard work has kept me inspired and passionate ever since.

It's my hope for others, yourself, or those who care about you, to have the potential to feel the same gratitude I felt when passed down that leather belt from my Grandad.

The Crusader is a premium quality leather card holder.

It is entirely handmade by myself, and is an original design item that I have been working on for years.

It's the perfect design of minimalist form and function.

About The Crusader

One card slot - which may hold up to 4 or more cards
Thumb cutaway for quick access to your cards
One note slot for twice-folded notes
Dimension: 3.5 inch by 3 inch - small enough to slip into my pocket or bag
Weight: 15g - light enough to not weigh you down

My main focus on this project was to keep costs as low as possible without sacrificing quality. This meant correctly balancing effort, time and money.

Custom cutting die - This is like a giant leather cookie cutter (yum!). Though costly, it saves time rather than cutting by hand and maintains more consistent results.
Pre-dyed leather - I normally both dye and topcoat my leather by hand, which takes a total of 2 days total to fully dry. Investing more money into premium pre-dyed leather allows me to cut out a lot of dyeing and drying time. I will always choose the best and most appropriate leather for my projects!
Hand-stitched - I use a traditional hand stitch technique with a thick waxed thread. Though this takes more effort and time, it provides extreme durability, rather than machine stitching which is quicker though often falls apart.
Treated edges - I still bevel, burnish and paint the edges, giving you that luxury look and feel.

As we speak i'm probably working tirelessly getting these bad boys done, ahead of the website release date on the 1st December.

High quality 'Rodeo' vegetable tanned leather, with a thickness of 1.8-2mm, ultra durable, develop a beautiful patina, will last a lifetime.

HAND STITCHED

All items are hand stitched with 1mm thread using a traditional saddle stitch method, for increased durability.

EDGES

Beveled, burnished and hand painted edges. Gives that premium feel, looks better for longer.
